The Army is contractually obligated to train you in your selected job field. In December of 1988, I re-enlisted to go back to German from Fort Hood. I was due to go in May. In January, I came down on orders for recruiting. Long story short, the JAG told Army recruiting that if thye forced me to be a recruiter, my contract would be void.
